Is there a new race coming out for Warhammer 40k?

Do you know what websites are saying it and could ya tell me the website. Also if not what type of new race would ya want in the Warhammer 40k universe?Is there a new race coming out for Warhammer 40k?
Non-conclusive. Apparently they have been allowed to start thinking of a new race, but there are no solid facts on what that race will be, if there even will be a new race.

There are rumors a-buzzin' on the intarwebs about a new race for Warhammer... or Warhammer 40k. The rumors are decidedly non-specific at this point the only thing that seems to be clear is that the design team at Games Workshop has been given the go-ahead to start work on a new race for one of the games. Which means that we aren't likely to get confirmation about what this race might be (or for what game) for a while.



I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this new race is going to be for Warhammer 40K. Warhammer got the last new race (The Ogre Kingdoms). 40K got the Tau before that. Of course, of the two, the Tau were FAR for successful. The Ogre Kingdoms had some nice models what were pretty much dead shortly after release as people realized how boring they were to play. Of course, that could be the reason why Warhammer might get a new race. Personally, I think that they'd sooner retool the Ogres than pile another new race on to Warhammer.

I agree its gonna be for 40K. I'll go out on a limb here and say my guess is that it will be the Barghesi of the Grendl Stars. They're pointed out on the starmap included in both the new rulebook and the Black Reach "read first" booklet. Gotta be intrigued by a race thats descriptive key phrases are "hyper-violent" and "avoid at all costs".
