I really lik the game warhammer 40000 space marine, but I wonder if you can put on a space marine helmet on single player? because I realy like the helmets. already thanks. Can you put on a helmet at warhammer 40 000 space marine at single player?
To give you a simple answer, no because he doesn't have one.
And to sound like a proper nerd, the reason he doesn't have one because it is the lower ranks that wear the helmets. like when you start the game and meet up with the 1st guy, he is of a low rank and he did have a helmet but it was damaged so became useless.
There are not many Captains or sergeants which will wear a helmet.

How do you play this Warhammer nonsense?
Can someone (preferably someone who plays Warhammer) tell me step by step how to play Warhammer? I don't get it at all. A step by step example would be great. It's not too much to ask, is it?
There's 10 point's up for grabs and only 2 for anyone who tells me to go read or buy the $96 rulebook...
Thanks! How do you play this Warhammer nonsense?
There are two separate versions of warhammer: Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k. I will explain fantasy since that is my preference.
Each race has their strong points and they also have special rules incorporated. So it would be very difficult to explain step by step in-depth. But, the basic rules of the game are very easy to learn.
The game is played turn by turn and each turn is divided into these categories.
1. Movement phase
2. Magic phase
3. Shooting phase
4. Close combat.
In the movement phase the controlling player issues charges which is a move to engage in close combat. After that normal moves are made. Units move differently depending on the movement value. To fully understand this you would need the Warhammer Rulebook.
Next, in the magic phase, wizards attempt to cast spells using "power dice" while your opponent tries to dispel them with "dispel dice"
In the shooting phase, units with missile weapons attempt to shoot their weapons. Ballistic skill is used to try and hit the target and then the strength of the weapon is used against the targets toughness to kill. Each weapon has a different range, for example, a bolt thrower has a long range, while a longbow has a shorter distance.
The final phase is close combat in which your unit that charged, or a unit that is already engaged from a previous turn, attempt to fight and kill, or rout the enemy. Models fight back and forth using their weapon skill trying to hit the target and then using their strength to kill the target.
The game uses dice to determine whether attacks hit or miss, as well as doing other things such as magic. A tape measure is also used to help determine distances.
I view Warhammer Fantasy as being a complicated version of 40k. If you were interested in 40k, the basic rules are similar, the only difference is the game is split up into these phases:
1.Movement
2.Shooting
3.Assault
The movement phase is extremely simplified by having each foot troop moving up to 6 inches while vehicles move anywhere to 12 inches, all the way up to 20 inches.
Shooting is the same as warhammer fantasy.
Instead of charging like Warhammer Fantasy, in the assault phase you are allowed to charge into combat with 6 inches. At this point, combat is very similar. How do you play this Warhammer nonsense?
A step-by-step explanation wouldn't really help, because each race has its own special rules and variations and, even outside those, there are a wide variety of options for each unit, each turn and that's before you throw in magic.
Warhammer isn't an expensive hobby when you measure the time-to-investment ratio, but it does require a willingness to spend at least some money on it, otherwise it's probably not the right hobby for you. However, there is an alternative to the Big Red Book.
First of all, you can buy the Battle for Skull Pass, which is the same price as the BRB, but includes the rules in a handy A5 softback, two small armies (dwarfs and goblins) and all the dice and measuring sticks you need to get started.
Alternatively, if you're not interested in that money, you can find the A5 softback sold separately on eBay, usually for between $20 and $30. If you have a local wargaming club, it might be worth asking, because a lot of veterans can acquire multiple copies of the little rulebook. They might sell you one for a few bucks or even give you one for free (anything to get a new player into the hobby!).How do you play this Warhammer nonsense?
The easiest way to learn is to get down to your nearest Games Workshop store and ask the folks there! Check out the GW website to find the full list of stores. The staff will be more than happy to give you a run-down on how the game works, and if you've got time you can even play or watch a game yourself. If you enjoy it, they'll also be able to help you pick the army which most suits the way you want to play, and give tips on what models to buy first

Any groups in brisbane, that are interested in making/wearing suits from warhammer 40k?
I know there are groups for starwars for example the 501st legion. But I want warhammer/space marines alike. I am currently making my own grey knights power armor(whatever you call it). And would be interested in joining a group or starting one if there would be the numbers available.Any groups in brisbane, that are interested in making/wearing suits from warhammer 40k?
Might want to find locals via warhammer websites to hook up with on that.

Is there an online version of the Warhammer board game?
I'm looking to getting into the Warhammer game, and there are online versions of Dungeons and Dragons and even Magic: The Gathering. Is there any sort of online adaptation to the Warhammer Board game? I'm not looking for Warhammer Online, the MMORPG.Is there an online version of the Warhammer board game?
Warhammer isn't exactly one of the games you want to play online; its a game that showcases battlefield strategy and incorporates lots of measuring into the game. I know they say football is a game of inches (I know, I played it for years), but Warhammer really IS about the inches (or millimeters for non-US players). Its as much about painting the models as it is playing the game for some people.
D%26amp;D and Magic have online versions of the actual game because the gameplay can be easily simulated. Roleplaying (D%26amp;D) is basically storytelling, so it can even be played over AIM or any other messenger program. Magic's card can be simulated online and "randomized" by a program.
So basically to sum it up, Warhammer has no online equivalent because its not really something that can be easily simulated. Tabletop games are best played there because they really don't work anywhere else.Is there an online version of the Warhammer board game?
It isn't a board game. It's a table-top strategy game involving hand painted models and regiments of troops.
There is a game for the PC called Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. I only played a few maps, but the point structure and basic units are similar to the table-top game.

I want to start collecting warhammer any advice on what best way to start and what army?
warhammer or the lord of the rings answers would be fab, also some answers on the best way to paint them to get best effectI want to start collecting warhammer any advice on what best way to start and what army?
The best way to start is the boxed sets. The warhammer boxsets come with two armies and if dwarfs or orc and goblins appeal to you have the core of an army right away. add a battalion boxed set and you should be fairly close to 2,000 points once you add a spellcaster, general, and Battle standard bearer and some special and rare unitsI want to start collecting warhammer any advice on what best way to start and what army?
Well, in all cases, the most important thing to decide straight away is which army or race you want to collect. It's a hard choice, isn't it? But you have to find the one that captures your attention most intensely, otherwise the trial of buying and painting all of those little soldiers will drive you quite barmy (that'll happen in any case, but if you love your army then at least you'll be happy and barmy, rather than just barmy).
Once you've decided on your favourite army, and before you buy any models at all, buy the Army book (and you may want to buy two or three Army books before making your definite choice - don't worry, because they'll come in handy for knowing your enemies!). Once you've read it, go and get some advice at your local store or club from veterans who will give you some vital snippets to help you focus your plan. Alternatively, there are loads of online forums - but they have the drawback that it's not always easy to tell who the veterans are!
With the basic knowledge foundation, you can then move forward to actually buying and painting the models. But try not to be like a kid in a sweetshop. You should know what your army's going to look like now, so you'll be able to write an Army list. But don't just write one. Write three. One of 500 points, one of 1000 points and one of 1500 points. Each smaller list should contain units and characters from the larger lists. That way you can build up you army in logical steps: 500 points at a time. This makes it easier to learn your way into the different aspects of the army as you go along. It also lets you tailor your second and third tranches or buying based on your experience with the first and so on.
As for painting, there's no end of help out there on the Internet and in your local store or club. However, when it comes to Warhammer, the most important thing to say is: make sure your regiments rank up! It's so easy to build models without checking that they can actually stand next to each other in the neat regimental blocks that the game requires.
After that, I'd say: put sand or flock on the bases before you undercoat them. Always use a spray undercoat (faster, easier and a much better finish). And, if you're new to painting toy soldiers, always use a black undercoat rather than a white one.
And don't wait to finish your painting before hitting the tabletop!I want to start collecting warhammer any advice on what best way to start and what army?
The two main differences between Lord of the Rings and Warhammer is that Lotr is more based on movie/book events and as such is more scenario based. Warhammer is made up by the creators so there is much more wiggle room for changes.
I collect LOTR and have found that there are so many different races available that they are very effective. I recommend the new dwarf models that were just released as the dwarves are tough as nails and now that the plastic models are out, they are much cheaper too.
As far as painting, if you are doing LOTR, then just get the supplement that goes with your models and painting guides are in them.
Good luck

Can someone explain how to play the combat phase in Warhammer Fantasy?
Can someone explain how to play Warhammer Combat Phase i'm read the rulebook but i cant understand it i have the battle of skull pass but i just can understand it can someone explain it easier for me please. Can someone explain how to play the combat phase in Warhammer Fantasy?
After all of the other phases are completed you go into combat phase in which the player who charges strikes first (only on the first round of combat, after that it is based on initiative). to hit you compare the WS of the fighters. if they are the same the attacker hits on a 4+, if the attackers is 1 or more higher then he/she/it (lol) hits on a 3+. But if the defenders WS is more than twice that of the attackers then the attacker will hit on a 5+.
After you calculate the hits you go into the damage calculation calculation part. in hear you compare the attackers S to the defenders toughness. If they are even (say S3 and T3) the attacker will wound the defender on a 4+. If the S is 1 higher then the T then the attacker will wound on a 3+, 2 higher will wound on a 2+. if the S is lower then the T then the attacker will wound on a 5 or 6 depending on the difference.
and finally for the fun part. Now you need to calculate the Armor save. using dwarfs as an example a typical warrior will get a 3+ save, this is because they have heavy armour, shield, and a hand weapon (which only counts for close combat). after you find out what the Armour save is you will actually raise the number depending on the strength of the attacker a S4 enemy will change an armour save from a 3+ to a 4+.S5 will put you at a 5+. S6 6+. S7 or higher you get no Amour save (ha! ha!).
And last but not least combat resolution. please just read the book 4 that one.

Well trot off back to your normal life Anna, don't let us get in the way of your television watching or whatever passes for fun in your world.
This might sound like ducking the question Adam, but if you have a Games Workshop near you just go in and ask the staff. They'll be happy to run through it with you, running demo games and combats is a big part of what they're paid for and they like doing it.
If that's not an option, then learn by trial and error - don't try to understand it just by reading the book, set it up and do it. That's the best way to see how it works. Start at page 8 and go through it line by line until page 18. There's a summary on page 22 once you have got the basics, which will remind you of what order things go in.
The game runs in turns. In turn one, you have a go and then (when you have finished) your opponent has a go. Then it is the end of the turn, and the next turn starts.
There are a set number of things (phases) you can do in your turn. You have to do them in order - if you forget to move a unit in the movement phase and then you start combat, you can't then say "oh, hang on" and go back and move that unit. So you need to think it all out in advance.
Once you have moved, including charges, you then get to shoot with any unit that is not already in a close-up fight. And then you resolve the fighting between the units that are in a close-up fight. Then you remove the dead, and it's your opponent's go.
Hope this helps. My advice is definitely to grab an opponent and get stuck in.Can someone explain how to play the combat phase in Warhammer Fantasy?

Thinking about starting a Warhammer fantasy army?
I play warhammer 40k and i've recently been thinking about starting a fantasy army. I have a couple of armies in mind, but i would like to hear other peoples input, such as tactics, price, and how good they are! After looking through articles, and the GW website i think i have narrowed it down to Lizerdmen, warriors of chaos, wood elves and maybe beastmen, or the other elven races. Keep in mind that to start out, i would like to keep the price range under $250. Thank you for any advice or helpful input.Thinking about starting a Warhammer fantasy army?
For $250 you will have a nice budget to have core and a few elite units as well as a hero.
Lizardmen are diverse with the combination of Saurus, Sarus Coldblood calvary, and Skinks with poison darts as skirmishers and flankers. These guys use a lot of melee and close ranged weapons. The magic is not that bad either, so stock up on Skink priests.
Warriors of Chaos are made up of small units of very powerful soldiers, however every solider matters. Marauders are good to have as quick units to reach the enemy early on while your Knights move in (mounted or foot) to finish them off. The magic is alright, but the powerful marked Chaos Knights are were it is at.
Wood Elves are a fast paced archer army. Maneuver them in and around the enemy to get the most shots off. Use dryads and terrain. Bulk up on archers, drayds, and a bit of cavalry to hit the flanks. Elves are frail, so keep them away from the enemy.
Beastmen play a lot like Wood Elves, but instead of archers, beastmen are melee. Use terrain and ungors as shields for the Gors, Centigors, and Minotaurs to destroy the enemy. Flank as much as possible.
Dark elves (my favorite army) are very much like the wood elves, except for their heavily armoured units. Some Dark Elves like executioners and coldblood cavalry are dangerous because of the strength and their killing blows. The crossbowmen are the deadliest in the game. Doubletapping on the crossbows allows you to hail the enemy with double the shots for one less ballistic. That means with 24 crossbowmen at long range you are hitting with 48 shots on 4s.
My strategy is this:
Line up my 48 crossbowmen. Use Executioners and Spearmen to wait for the enemy. Use the rangers with crossbows to scout behind enemy lines (with crossbows of course). With the powerful magic and hail of shots with mobile melee units to finish, it is a good army. But they are my preference. I also have a dwarf army, but they are more like Chaos or Empire.
For your list of choices, the best would seem to be either beastmen or wood elves. Chaos is very different than the other three and Lizardmen are a less mobile army if you use Sarus.Thinking about starting a Warhammer fantasy army?
yes

I recently bought a Warhammer starter kit for my nephew from the Games Workshop and I'm really impressed how cool it is. I bought a few of the guide books and wow, it's really intense and indepth. I also purchased the psp game so that I can wrap my head around the table top game. Where online could i get more into it and find more information that I can relay to my nephew. Thanks.Where can I go online to get more into Warhammer?
Yeah, less than an hour to learn, years the master. Not many games have that title anymore.
http://www.games-workshop.com/ is the homepage. You can see details about their other games too.
One thing you will have trouble with at the start in the construction and painting of your models. Make it fun and if it starts to get tedious, have a break and do it tomorrow. Good advice for a starter, i say.fun girl games what is radiation

This means that the publisher of the software did not register the software properly. It is not an uncommon occurrence. If you are certain that the software is legitimate and you are downloading it from a legitimate website, go ahead and use it.

You can buy packs of bases from any online GW stockist or buy them used on eBay - there are cheap bargains to be had sometimes but don't overbid.
If you're not fussy, you can also buy cheaper non-GW bases.
Arcane Scenery on eBay sell very similar bases that are shallower than GW but cost a lot less.Where can i buy replacement bases for my warhammer table top game?

What essentials do I need to build WARHAMMER 40K models?
I'm thinking about getting a Warhammer model, just to build and see if I enjoy it, but I want to know the Essentials I need. right know, I'm just thinking about buying a Space Marine Predator Tank, what do I need for that? What essentials do I need to build WARHAMMER 40K models?
The essentials are a sharp hobby knife and a pot of plastic glue. Additional tools to make your job easier will include a pair of flat-back clippers, a cutting mat, two or three elastic bands and possibly a round-backed needle file.
I've just built a Predator. Lovely kit, but pay attention to where the various cupola parts are supposed to go!What essentials do I need to build WARHAMMER 40K models?
Precinct Omega covered the basics already, you don't need a lot of equipment if you just want to build a tank model and if you don't want to spend money on brushes and acrylic paints yet you could just spray it with car paint. You might want to buy a can of spray primer, a cheap can of something like Hycote (white, black or grey) will do the job as well as a more expensive premium brand.
Make sure the knife you use has a round handle and a wedge shaped blend (not a curved one) so it's easy to manipulate. My choice of blade is Excel size #11.

Is there anyway to make transfers for Warhammer?
I really like using transfers to put symbols on my Warhammer 40K army but I also want to have some of my own symbols on there. Is there any kind of computer program to do this?Is there anyway to make transfers for Warhammer?
You can buy printable decal paper (this is a link to one manufacturer, but it's far from the only one):
http://www.decalpaper.com/Default.asp
Design your own chapter symbols, edit them on your PC and print them out ready to go on your miniatures.
You may also like to look up the specialist products MicroSol and MicroSet. The former is designed to help people trying to make flat decals fit on curved surfaces (such as space marine shoulder pads), and completely eliminates that annoying kink you get. The latter will get rid of that annoying outside edge of your decals that can be seen when it catches the light.

Whats a game with a rpg aspect and the modeling building of warhammer?
I've been wanting to do some RPGing for a while now and I like the model building of warhammer and 40k but its all very army oriented, I'm looking for something more hero like but not something that will drag on for days for and average game. I've seen some pretty long tournaments. If you can help i'd really appreciate it! thanks!Whats a game with a rpg aspect and the modeling building of warhammer?
LOL at the guy who said WoW was better than warhammer. I guess ignorance is bliss.
anyways to the point.
Just about EVERY RPG out there has miniatures. like the guy above me said. Repaer minitaures is a good example And there is Dwarven Forge for the caverns or whatever set (take a look at their website some of the landscape is MINDBLOWING! even if you don't ignore the fact they haven't came out with anything new in the last 10 years)Whats a game with a rpg aspect and the modeling building of warhammer?
You could play pathfinder which is like D%26amp;D 3.7 that's the RPG part the model part is that the miniature company "reaper miniatures" make a pathfinder miniature line and many other great miniatures that you could use in any RPG game also D%26amp;D has turned into a miniature game it self and hen there's the game warmachine which is like warhammer but the games are Lot shorter and the armies smallerWhats a game with a rpg aspect and the modeling building of warhammer?
Three words, "World of Warcraft". Blizzard has been in the business for a long time and they know how to make a solid game. The graphics aren't that great but the gameplay overrides the graphics any day. Very addicting game though, don't play if you have a really addicting personality. Hope this helped. Don't play Warhammer by the way, it's a horrible game compared to WoW.

Paints that can be used for Warhammer miniatures?
I am wondering what alternatives there are to buying the Games Workshop or Citadel brand paints to paint Warhammer miniatures. I have heard that acrylics work, but is there a certain kind? I don't want to ruin my models by using the wrong kind of paint.

What is the size of a warhammer figure?
I'm just wondering what i the size of a warhammer figure with and without a base on them. (NOTE: NOT 40K) please answer for empire army preferablyWhat is the size of a warhammer figure?
Obviously, the answer will depend on which miniature you're looking at. The scale used in both Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 is known as "28mm heroic". In principle, this means that a normal human model should measure 28mm to its eye-level.
However, in practice, Games Workshop's designers are quite free and easy with the exact scale of Warhammer miniatures. The "heroic" tag in the scale indicates the fact that, with wargaming miniatures, it is often more important for a player to be absolutely clear what a miniature is and how it is equipped than it is for the miniature to conform absolutely to a given scale. As a result, heads, hands and weapons in the Warhammer range are often over-sized, and many miniatures are sculpted to 30mm or even 32mm, especially hero miniatures that must stand out on the tabletop. What is the size of a warhammer figure?
Approximate Heights of models in the Empire Army:
Infantry: 1.5 inches with base (1.25 inches without)
Cavalry: 2.25 inches with base (2 inches without)
Artillery: Various but up to 3 inches in height with base
Base sizes range from 20x20mm to 50x100mm (for infantry and the steam tank respectively). What is the size of a warhammer figure?
if you're just talking about the main, small troops, then usually from an inch to an inch and a half, and the bases are about half a centimeter, roughly. stronger troops are usually around an inch and a half to two inches tall. the leaders can be anywhere between two inches and three. if you're talking about war machines, they can be a lot bigger.

How should I start a Vampire Counts army? - WarHammer
Alright, so i've been playing Warhammer 40k for several years now. Now 2 of my friends have decided on starting Fantasy very soon and would like to get an "early start" advantage over them on it. :)
I have decided on Vampire Counts.
Now I ask you a couple questions. What is a great way to start off a Vampire Counts army?, I plan on simply overwhelming my opponent with mass infantry and fear, so what boxed sets and how many of each should I purchase?. Im not sure if you still need to choose a bloodline, so if I do then.... which bloodline?
I have a $175 budget to spend on models.
Thanks for reading my question! How should I start a Vampire Counts army? - WarHammer
You should start by getting the book 1st. If you want to overwelm your opponent by raising you can go for the vampires and go magic heavy. This will help you raise more guys. You should start of with basic core units like skeletons or crypt ghouls. I would say get 5 boxes cause you are gonna constently raise more. Also get a vampire or 2 and get for some hard hitting units get black knights, grave guard, or a vargulf. Vampire win by overwhelming other armies with numbers and combat resolution. once you beat them in combat and you out number them they will run unless they cause fear or are immune to phsycology. Vampires are a very expensive army but a very good army. How should I start a Vampire Counts army? - WarHammer
I would First off get the codex, and get a few boxes of skeletons, Necromancer and maybe ghouls. For your special units I would suggest Graveguard and Black Knights. As for bloodline I would suggest von carstein

Is there a new race coming out for Warhammer 40k?
Do you know what websites are saying it and could ya tell me the website. Also if not what type of new race would ya want in the Warhammer 40k universe? Is there a new race coming out for Warhammer 40k?
Non-conclusive. Apparently they have been allowed to start thinking of a new race, but there are no solid facts on what that race will be, if there even will be a new race.

There are rumors a-buzzin' on the intarwebs about a new race for Warhammer... or Warhammer 40k. The rumors are decidedly non-specific at this point the only thing that seems to be clear is that the design team at Games Workshop has been given the go-ahead to start work on a new race for one of the games. Which means that we aren't likely to get confirmation about what this race might be (or for what game) for a while.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this new race is going to be for Warhammer 40K. Warhammer got the last new race (The Ogre Kingdoms). 40K got the Tau before that. Of course, of the two, the Tau were FAR for successful. The Ogre Kingdoms had some nice models what were pretty much dead shortly after release as people realized how boring they were to play. Of course, that could be the reason why Warhammer might get a new race. Personally, I think that they'd sooner retool the Ogres than pile another new race on to Warhammer.
A comment left there says:
I agree its gonna be for 40K. I'll go out on a limb here and say my guess is that it will be the Barghesi of the Grendl Stars. They're pointed out on the starmap included in both the new rulebook and the Black Reach "read first" booklet. Gotta be intrigued by a race thats descriptive key phrases are "hyper-violent" and "avoid at all costs".
Non-conclusive. Apparently they have been allowed to start thinking of a new race, but there are no solid facts on what that race will be, if there even will be a new race.

Books on the afterlife and spiritual nature of Warhammer 40k?
I was wondering if there are any books that go into more detail of the faiths and afterlife in Warhammer 40k. I am a big fan of the series, and know about the faiths such as chaos and the emperor and all that, but I'd like a bit more detail on them. Thanks guys!Books on the afterlife and spiritual nature of Warhammer 40k?
Awesome question, and I'm glad to be able to introduce you to the even awesomer world of the Black Library. Google it- it's a series of books that are written about the Warhammer Universe- I'd recommend starting with the Eisenhorn books- Eisenhorn is an inquisitor who strays to the side of chaos while trying to perform his inquisitorial duties. It's a great read and a great introduction to the Black library materials. Enjoy!Books on the afterlife and spiritual nature of Warhammer 40k?
I don't know if there are any boocks on the subject but threw my reading i have found that when u die you join the emperer at the golden throne in songBooks on the afterlife and spiritual nature of Warhammer 40k?
Try the source books for the 40k roleplaying game, Dark Heresy.
They have a lot of background on the 40k world. They are published by Fantasy Flight Games. Most online book stores sell them.

What is Warhammer 40k 5 EDITION rules in the new space marine codex with deepstriking?
I played warhammer 40k for a while, but with the new space marine codex, there is change where u can not assault out of the droppod, and also you can deepstrike half of your drop pods first turn, but I was wondering what happens if you had 3? Do we round it up? and is there still a scatter? or do i just drop them? What is Warhammer 40k 5 EDITION rules in the new space marine codex with deepstriking?
Fractions are always rounded up in WH40k. So, yes, if you have three drop-pods, you can deepstrike two of them on the first turn and roll for the remaining one on your second and subsequent turns. If you have only one drop-pod, it will always land on the first turn.
Deepstrike always scatters, so you still roll for scatter as normal, placing the Drop-pod on the table and the rolling 2D6 and a scatter dice to determine its final position.
Troops on board a drop-pod may disembark in the movement phase (following the normal rules for disembarkation from the vehicle that has moved) and run (or shoot!) in the shooting phase but may not charge in the Assault phase (they've just arrived on the battlefield and need a turn to get their tactical updates before they can go charging into the melee). What is Warhammer 40k 5 EDITION rules in the new space marine codex with deepstriking?

I want to play WarHammer Online but my comp was to slow to load World of Warcraft?
I have heard that Warhammer needs a good computer and video card. When i played WoW i was always lagging very bad and my comp wouldnt load the new citys. Does this mean my comp is to slow for warhammer? Will i need to get a new one or can i make this one faster?I want to play WarHammer Online but my comp was to slow to load World of Warcraft?
Both have about the same specifications to run the game.
If there is a lag, try to lessen the vid quality a bit, check to see if you have sufficient RAM.
If my game lags, tweak the vid settings in the game options, I tend to eliminate shadows, water reflections, vid quality of background, and so on...so it can run more smoothly.

What kind of paint is the Citadel paint for Warhammer 40k miniatures?
I'm a noob and was looking to get into the warhammer game-scene thing, and i've been making plastic model airplanes for years now, can I just slap some of my Testor's on the models or, what? What kind of paint is the Citadel paint for Warhammer 40k miniatures?
I refer you to my previous answer:
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind鈥?/a>What kind of paint is the Citadel paint for Warhammer 40k miniatures?
It doesn't matter what type of paint you use to paint your minis (another term for warhammer models). I have been using some of my paints which I use for my other models on these if I don't have the colour I want in my Citadel paint collection. What kind of paint is the Citadel paint for Warhammer 40k miniatures?
Citadel paint is a high quality paint that blends and mixes well. You can use what ever paint you want to. You probably are going to need to put on a base coat first. My son has use acrylic paint along with a base and top coat on his figures
I believe it's acrylic paint. You should prime the mini with either white (if it will be mostly light colours) or black (if it will be mostly dark colours)

Warhammer?
I've been jw for a while now. It looks interesting and i might want to try. So here is a few questions:
1. What is a good, cheap, full, starter set?
2. Where is it located at the cheapest price
Thanks!Warhammer?
I do not mean to discourage you to playing warhammer, because it is an amazingly fun hobby and wargame. There is nothing cheap however, about the game.
First, ask yourself, are you interested in painting as well as the wargame? Are you going to get the most out of your money?
If you know of a games workshop store in your area, I suggest taking the time, and heading over there. Most likely one of the staff will show you how the game works, and give you a chance to play. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did, and you will be immediately hooked.
Unfortunately, none of the armies in the warhammer world are necessarily "cheaper" then the others. Choosing an army depends on your playstyle and painting style. (good, evil, melee/magic/shooting oriented). As for starter sets, there is one for every army, but they cost in the 2-3 hundred dollar range, and you usually save about 30 bucks. Personally, I wouldn't suggest them for somebody who is just starting (kind of Ironic seeing as it is a "starter" set)
A basic warhammer army consists of two "core" choices and a hero. I would suggest finding an army you are interested in playing, and buying one of the core selections to start off, eventually buying another core, and a hero. As soon as you do that, you are ready to start playing :)
As for the cheapest place, at least around where I am from, they are all generally the same price. Perhaps the cheapest would be straight from the GW website? All in all its pretty standard...
Hope this helps, even though it was probably not the answer you were looking to hear :P

Warhammer ?
For those of you whos played the game, what do you think of it? Are the graphics good? The race, and characters? Questing and stuff? I just quit WoW about 7 months ago and I've been looking at this game. It looks really fun ;)Warhammer ?
So far I am liking it alot. Graphics won't blow you away but they are still very good for an MMO. The atmosphere is a lot different than WoW though, the overall look is darker and grittier, there aren't a lot vibrant locals, most have a very war-torn look. Class wise there is quite a bit of variety, each race has its own set of classes (3 or 4 per race) and each has its own mechanic (ie a black orc is going to ply different than an chaos chosen even though they are both "tank" classes.) Questing is also good, i especially enjoy the public quest innovation. Basically there are areas in the game where once a faction threshold is reached, such as killing 50-100 of an monster group or collecting a 100 supply crates or something, special boss charaecters/unit will be spawned and once they are killed anyone that participated gets a shot a st some pretty nice quest rewards.Warhammer ?
yeah you should join!1
send me your user when you do i starded playing just now tooWarhammer ?
it's a great game because it is from the Games Workshop and it has many races like space marines, tau, imperial guard, orks, dark eldar, eldar, chaos space marines, and tyrannids.
it's one of the greatest games of THQ and Relic.
im going to join it looks so funxenon what is android

Warhammer?
Hi,
I have a boyfriend that plays warhammer and I don't. But I'm an artist that's amazingly skilled at painting so I thought I would surprise him by buying and painting a few models for him. But I have a few questions.
1] What is the primer called?
2] When sticking the various appendages together on a model is there a special kind of glue as much as the paints or is apoxy fine? and what kind of modeling putty would be best to fill in the cracks between? does apoxy putty work for this just as well?
3] Has anyone tried painting the miniatures with gouche' or Acrylic? How was that in compairison to the gamer's workshop brand?
4]are there any undead beasties in the Warhammer 40,000 setting?
5] Is clear top coat equal improvement to the colors, is it a bad idea, or does it really matter?Warhammer?
If you go to games workshop they will tell you or anywhere that sells warhammer will probably have paint and primer by it i would get a clerk to help me to tell you the truth :D

I paint %26amp; assemble D%26amp;D figures, so it's the same thing. Your primer is your basic color either grey or white. I don't know if you have an air brush or not (I also build plastic models), but Floquil sells a spray can called SP Lettering Grey that I use as a primer. It's laquer based, so it "bites" into the figure/model and gives the rest of your paints something to hold onto. I use what ever paint i think looks best, which includes water based (acrylics), laquer, oil (like painters use on canvas) and the paint thinner kind. If you're using plastic figures, wash them in soap %26amp; water to remove the mold release agent that was applied to them in the factory. This will help a whole lot in having the paint adhere to the figure. Both Polly S and Model Master have water (acrylic) based paints in a very, very wide variety of colors. If you use acryllics, add a drop of liquid dishwasher soap to the paint bottle, then shake the bottle well. This will make the paint flow a lot easier whether you're using a paint or air brush. I've never used Gamers Workshop brand of paint, but Polly S is the best I've worked with and they have a lot more different colors than Model Master who tends more to military subjects.
If you're assembling metal figures, use a 2 part expoxy for metal. I put a little extra expoxy on the parts so when they are joined, they "ooze" a little bit and use that "ooze" to blend in the parts. If it's plastic, use regular tube (plastic) glue which is sold in every hobby shop/Kmart/Walmart/etc. The glue will actually melt a little bit of the plastic parts to make a stronger bond. Use putty sold at hobby shops to fill the seam lines where the parts join together. When I'm done painting the figure, I put a coat of Dull Coat which is made by Micro Scale (and maybe Model Master?), also available in hobby shops. Model Master's stuff is available in a spray can, while Micro Scales comes in a bottle. To me, it adds a little more realism and also protects the paint job because the figures are going to be used a lot, right?Warhammer?
1] The recommended primer for either metal or plastic models is Citadel Colour Skull White or Chaos Black spray, depending upon the effect you're looking for. There are cheaper alternatives, but I've not found one that gives a finish as smooth or which possesses the lovely texture of the Citadel Colour primer sprays (don't be tempted to apply the primer with a brush, the spray gives a far, far superior effect, although you may still need to touch up hard to reach areas with a brush).
2] I recommend using superglue for both plastic and metal miniatures. Loc-tite is the most reliable and is now available in a gel form that avoids the problem of run-off (when the liquid glue spreads to areas you don't want glued). You can use epoxy if you like, but it takes hours to dry properly and, with the more elaborate miniatures, instant drying is essential if you're going to finish the model in less than a day! The most popular filler is what's generally known as "green stuff", but which can be found under the trade name Kneadtite. This is, of course, epoxy putty. It's good stuff. For more complex uses, such as minor sculpting and conversions, I recommend ProCreate, an epoxy putty specifically designed for miniature sculpting, but green stuff is fine for gap filling. In fact, if you're on a budget, Milliput is also perfect adequate for gap filling, too, although it's a lot messier than green stuff.
3] The Citadel Colour paints *are* acrylic, but they aren't the same as artist's acrylics. I'm an artist, too, so I have both and the pigment concentration in Citadel Colour's normal range is up to ten times higher than that in artist's acrylics. The new Foundation range of paints (recommended if you use a black undercoat) have up to fifty times the pigment and are absolutely awesome (although watering the paint before application is vital). That said, Citadel Colour (GW's home brand) isn't the only one of the market. Vallejo Model Paints are highly regarded and superior to Citadel Colour in certain colours (especially metallics). Andrea Miniatures also produce their own paints that are starting to raise much interest on the pro-painting scene. But for your purposes, Citadel Colour will be fine. Don't use gouache. Seriously, just don't.
4] Sort of. You can find plague zombies throughout the Imperium, with a strong concentration in the Necromunda underhive. Check out the Necromunda range for more on that topic (Link 1, below). Alternatively, there is the more obvious undead analogue, the Necrons. Although they're actually metal robots, they have a strong "death" theme and bear the same sort of techniques as fantasy skeletons. Check out Link 2 for more.
5] I consider a coat of varnish to be absolutely essential if the models are intended to be played with and, actually, consider it to add an attractive sheen even to display models. GW's own "Purity Seal" (matte varnish) has a poor reputation and can cause a cloudy finish under certain circumstances. Widely reputed to be the market leader is Testor's "Dullcoat". I would say that it's always worth giving it a varnish coat rather than not.
I hope your boyfriend appreciates your efforts! It would be great to see the finished article up at CMON - see Link 3; you might also like to browse CMON for ideas and inspiration before starting.
1. its called codex primer (i think) i buy black primer from walmart or ace any kind works.
2. they have glue for the models but its just plastic glue in a warhammer bottle. any craft store will have model glue. and games workshop has this putty called "green stuff" but if you don't want to buy it use apoxy. its really expensive for a little bit.
3. i havent but the games workshop stuff is really good and works perfect on the model.
4. there is for warhammer but i dont think so for warhammer 40,000 they are two different games by the same company the also have lord of the rings
5. i have never tried but i think it would work but thats me

What warhammer 40k heay support option should I get?
Im new to the game of Warhammer 40k and most of my army is composed of infantry and a dreadnaught and rhino. so what heavy support option should I get: Predator, land raider or a devestator squad or maybe even another dreadnaught.
Thanks. What warhammer 40k heay support option should I get?
In many ways, it doesn't really matter. All of the Heavy Support choices would be excellent additions to your Space Marine army as it stands. Personally, I favour the Land Raider. With its combination of anti-armour and anti-infantry weaponry and ability to transport a whole squad of marines straight into combat, it's the assault tank par excellence.
That said, I've faced many a predator and vindicator in battle and wished that I had one with which to respond. The vindicator's short range makes it strictly an infantry-support vehicle, whilst a predator can operate independently as a tank hunter - but nothing says mass-annihilation like a S10 AP2 large blast template.
Devastators are a good, flexible choice. But I have found them to be most effective when given a specialist role - anti-armour or anti-infantry, rather than a mix of both - plus a full ten marines to give tactical flexibility and survivability to the heavy weapons; and, ideally, a Rhino, too. All of this means that they might be best kept back for armies of 2000 points or more.
The only bad choice, I'd say, was a second dreadnought. This should only be a realistic option if going for a drop-pod assault army, which gives you vital firepower and combat power straight into the enemy lines. In a straight foot-slogger army, dreadnoughts are too vulnerable and often constitute little more than free Kill Points.

The miniatures that come in the Assault on Black Reach boxed set can be snapped together without glue, although one would still normally recommend using glue.
When assembling plastic miniatures, use plastic glue. Also known as polystyrene cement, it melts the two sides of the bond, re-fusing them into a very strong permanent connection. There is no end of different makes and labels, but I recommend the Army Painter product, as a cheap(ish) reliable glue with a prevision nozzle (although it does clog easily if you leave the cap off!).
For metal and hybrid (metal and plastic) miniatures, use superglue. Again, there's no shortage of different sorts of cyanoacetate to choose from. If you're new to the hobby, I would again recommend the Army Painter product. It's not too runny, bonds rapidly and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. There are all sorts of other varieties to choose from, but get to grips with one before you look around for an alternative.
The vast majority of miniatures in a 40k army are now available in plastic. What warhammer 40k modles dont need glue to put them togever?
A lot of metal ones are single-piece castings but virtually all the plastic ones are multi-part.
You can use super-glue/krazy glue or polystyrene cement. Super-glue is the best to start with because it is easy to take the models apart again if you assemble the models incorrectly or get the pose wrong.
Be careful with super-glue, never squeeze the tube, if the glue doesn't flow then use a pin to unblock the nozzle. Also be aware that super-glue can be dangerous; never put it anywhere near your eyes or mouth.
Buy some cheap nail-varnish remover too, it is very useful for removing super-glue from your fingers!
Polystyrene cement *melts* plastic so it bonds plastic parts together much better than superglue, I often prefer to use "liquid poly" which is great for very tiny parts. Again, never squeeze the tube or it will splurge all over the place.
Start with whatever models you like, *lightly* spray paint them with the cheapest car undercoat paint you can find, leave to dry and then get painting, there are dozens of painting guides on the internet.
To make your models look good it is best to properly clean them up before you start by scraping away the mold-lines; I use a size #11 Excel straight blade with round handle. Be careful with sharp knives!

How do walls work in Warhammer 40k?
I've recently come across a Stronghold for Warhammer 40k. Me and my brother were curious as to how the wall works? How would we go about destroying it?How do walls work in Warhammer 40k?
Assuming you are dealing with the tabletop game...
Every building type in 40k has a corresponding cover save value and in the case of a full-fledged building, an armor value. IE, a bunker yields a 3+ cover to models inside. Or you could shoot the building like you would any vehicle to try and explode it and eject the squads inside.
If its just a wall, it shouldn't be destructible, and yields a 4+ cover save generally. The same as any generic terrain on the board or building ruins.
I cant tell you the exact page, but there is a chart in the rule book with all of the specifics for just about everything if you look for it.trade in value book club recommendations

What Windows OS should I use to run LOTRO or Warhammer online?
i really want to play lord of the rings online or warhammer online, but i don't know what windows operating system would be the best. Please Help! What Windows OS should I use to run LOTRO or Warhammer online?
You can run both on Win XP, Vista or Win 7. Chances are that you have, at the very least, Windows XP. If you have Vista, expect some issues, particularly with LOTRO. If you have Windows 7, you will not have issues.
Make sure that your system meets, at least, the RECOMMENDED requirements. Never try to run a PC game or MMO (not even an older MMO like WoW) with just the minimum. It is a waste of money as the game will not run smoothly, the graphics will be subpar, etc. What Windows OS should I use to run LOTRO or Warhammer online?
XP is definately supported and would be the best choice for a lot of reasons.
Vista and 7 have eyecandy interfaces that drain memory like mad. Vista and 7 both require 1 GIG of memory to run efficiently, while XP only requires 256 MB.
That means if you run on XP, you have more memory for your games, so faster loading, less odd stuttering in areas where new textures come in....
XP is slowly becoming a legacy operating system however, it's nearly been ten years I think? A very good system however.
If you have over 2 gig of RAM , just go for 7. Efficient, looks nice, works nice, and it's basically the new XP.

(WARHAMMER) Can somebody give me an advise to defeat the Imperial Guard using the Tau?
My older brother always kick my *** in Warhammer using the Imperial Guard and I only know how to use the TAU. I just need some advices to destroy him.
Thanks!!(WARHAMMER) Can somebody give me an advise to defeat the Imperial Guard using the Tau?
hmmmm... that suprises me u say that because i find that imperial sucks most of the games i play online. one main thing is u want to try and attack early because once they get everything set up and have those tanks u might as well be dead already. imperial have a ability on there main hq that lets them see anywhere on the battle field and when they use that and have there tanks not that far away it creates a deadly combination. i cant think of the names right now of the buildings or recruits but all i can say is make plenty of those buildings that make the commander and divide how many fire power and how many melee you have so 1 half is attacking face up and the other is picking them off from behind. other than that u might wanna learn how to play with other races to give you more choices. go online and have some1 teach you thats wat i did. if you see a hill or some trees that is a great thing. set your firepowers on the hills and make them stand there ground, and set your melee in the trees which will shield them from some shooting units just make sure u dont let ur bro get all his tanks cus thats there may power.

What do i get my Warhammer obsessed boyfriend?
My boyfriend is really into warhammer 40k. I want to get him something really nice but i dont know much about the game. could you tell me something to get him that would blow him away? What do i get my Warhammer obsessed boyfriend?
It depends. If he likes the tabletop game, then get him a nice commander piece or something like that. One of the new recasts would be cool, I would imagine. If he's a Space Marine fan, then something like this:

or this
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalo鈥?/a>
Alternatively, if he likes the fluff more (or if you're just stretched for money), get him a video game. 'Dawn of War', 'Dawn of War II', and 'Space Marine' are all great (the DoW Series are all RTS, and as such are on PC - Space Marine is available on PC, 360, and PS3). Also, if he doesn't mind books, maybe get him the newest Horus Heresy novel ('The Outcast Dead') or the new Gaunt's Ghost novel ('Salvation's Reach'). Point being, any new release novel would be awesome if I were him.
Like I said, it all depends on what aspect of 40k he likes. Get him something accordingly.
How about some Warhammer 40k inspired death metal? Debauchery's "Continue To Kill" is very Warhammer 40k inspired as their vocalist plays it too - if the lyrics is any indication he owns a Chaos army ;)What do i get my Warhammer obsessed boyfriend?
The newest Warhammer if he doesn't have it, or the Actual Board Game Warhammer. (Space Marines thingy...)

Where should I buy my warhammer 40k figures?
I want to get cheap, unpainted warhammer figures. Where is a good site to get them in the U.S?Where should I buy my warhammer 40k figures?
Simple Answer... Games Workshop.
If you go to any other site, you cannot guarantee that the Figures you buy are 100% and all there, or haven't been coated in 10 coats of Paint thinner to remove Old Paint. Or already put together, which give you very little option if you like to make your models stand and appear how YOU as a player want them too.
I hear everyone going "you should buy them from this place, it's cheaper..." and I reply, "yeah, but I can't guarantee their reliability like I can at Games Workshop"

Do I need the warhammer core rule book to start playing WHFB?
This is going to be my first time getting stuff for Warhammer Fantasy Battle. I'm going to be playing as the lizardmen army, so I figured I would just save money by buying only the Lizardmen army core rulebook. Do I need the regular rulebook AND the Lizardmen army rulebook to start playing, or only one of them?Do I need the warhammer core rule book to start playing WHFB?
You really need both. For a start, the special rules in the Lizardman boxed set won't make sense without the core rulebook. More importantly, if you don't have the core rulebook and don't know the rules then you are essentially expecting your opponent to tell you how to play, which is pretty rude - unless, that is, they have specifically invited you to play a learner game and are prepared to take you through the game from point 1.
Besides which, Warhammer is not a cheap hobby. There are lots of ways to save money by shopping around, sniping on eBay or trading with other players, but if you're trying to save money by not buying the rules you're probably not ready for the commitment the hobby requires.

Video Card problem with Warhammer Online Age Of Reckoning ?
Hey everyone, I have windows vista and I wanna play Warhammer Online but when I went on "Can you run it" It said I need to update my video card. I need pixel shader 2.0. Any idea where I can update it?
Thanks alot.Video Card problem with Warhammer Online Age Of Reckoning ?
If you want to get the most out of Warhammer Online I heavily suggest getting a good video card and plenty of RAM. Especially since you are using Vista.
The pvp atmosphere makes the game a bit more intense on your system than the PvE and small scale PvP of WoW since you'll have such large numbers of players on your screen at one time and, often, be trying to kill or be killed by a large portion of them.Video Card problem with Warhammer Online Age Of Reckoning ?
Well you need to find out what your video card is, its spec, and you can find that out by going to programs . run . type in dxdiag
It will show what type of card you have, then you can go to that manufactures website and down load the latest drivers. Warhammer has a list of what video cards will run the game.

How much does Warhammer 40k cost total?
I've recently been considering getting in to Warhammer 40k. How much would it cost me total to have a decent army, book, etc?
Any good ways of saving some money on these things? How much does Warhammer 40k cost total?
Well, to start with, you're well-advised to go with the Assault on Black Reach boxed set. For 拢48.95 you get two armies, plus the rulebook, dice, measuring sticks, templates and everything you need to know to start playing straight away. The miniatures alone, bought separately, would cost over 拢100, so it really is the bargain of the century, wargaming-wise.
To move beyond the constraints of the AoBR boxed set, you'll need to decide on an army (obviously, the cheapest option will be Orks or Space Marines, as these are the armies already included in the boxed set!) and buy the relevant codex. The marine codex is 拢18, the ork one, 拢15 (but prices are going up in September, apparently).
After that, how much you want to spend is really up to you and the size of the army you want to buy. You can save a lot of money by browsing ebay or by going to any one of the excellent online retailers, such as http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk and http://www.giftsforgeeks.org.uk, where GW prices are discounted by more than 10% and often free postage is available.
With careful buying you can get an army of 1000-1500 point for less than 拢150, but you need to add paints and modelling materials into that, too. Let's say that you can get in and play to tournament standards with a good-sized army for less than 拢200. But if you can stop at 拢200 then you're a better man than me.How much does Warhammer 40k cost total?

Ummmm........around 70 smurfs
you can try going to the smurf shop, for smurf exchanges.

Where can i find out what my Warhammer 40k characters are and what their stats are?
Hi, recently i was going through my attic and i found my old warhammer 40k set and all the characters and now i want to play a game with it with my brother. The problem is that i cant for the life of me remember what the characters are called and what their stats are which is a bit of a problem obviously. Is there any sites that i can compare the models with pics and find out what they are called and/or any sites that list all the stats for all the characters etc? Thanks for any help. :)Where can i find out what my Warhammer 40k characters are and what their stats are?
Well, to understand how to play the game and get unit values, you're going to need to get the codex for each army you have. Fifth Edition, the latest ruleset, has each army list independent of the main rule book.
You can find the Codex for each army book at the Games Workshop site or from other sources such as local game stores or book resellers or you can go online and find stuff on E-bay, Amazon or another online retailer.
As far as figuring out which models you have, depending on the age, you can go to the Games Workshop site:
http://us.games-workshop.com/
or if it's old out of print models, the Stuff of Legends site has a ton of ancient models from Citadel (Games Workshops models) and other manufacturers.

Good luck and happy gaming.

What would you recommend getting for an Eldar army in Warhammer 40,000?
So far, I have a box of Eldar Guardians. I also have the Eldar Codex and the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, but I find both rather confusing. I need to know what kind of HQ to get and what other troops to get. If you have any other information about starting an army in Warhammer 40,000, that would also be appreciated. What would you recommend getting for an Eldar army in Warhammer 40,000?
There is a lot to consider when starting to play Warhammer 40k, but lucky for you, your getting off on the right foot. I would recommend getting an "Eldar Battle force" and a general Eldar Far Seer. However, by far the best thing you can do is hang out at your local game shop where people play Warhammer. Shadow a few games and ask questions (be polite and not intrusive). Start out small bring a few men and fight a few 500 point battle until you get the hang of things and then expand from there.
If you have any more question about Warhammer 40k ask me on my blog at "warhammer40k.tumblr.com" Hope this helped!

Can you use older warhammer models in current games?
I've recently got back into warhammer gaming and have some older figures from warhammer (plastic models of the same scale),as the new rulebooks etc don't have listings for older models is it possible (or acceptable ) to use these older models in a current army or do I need to buy all new ones? Can you use older warhammer models in current games?
Once upon a time, Games Workshop changed the rules so that only the very latest models would be "legal" but there was such a huge backlash they were forced to do a U-turn, now all models regardless of age are allowed. Can you use older warhammer models in current games?
It depends, I had trouble with this a while ago and I asked somebody in-store who funnily said that "no man should let a piece of paper tell him what to do!". Basically, there is no real rule for it unless you are going to an event with specific rules, and so long as your friends don't mind then there should be no real problem. If you are attached to the models then I'm sure it would be okay to say that the models are something similar to what they were originally.area code look up professor layton

Where can I find a free Warhammer army builder?
I have just started playing Warhammer and wanted to try and form my own army. Recently, I just started with orcs and goblins and was wandering where I could find a template or something to put my ideas on.Where can I find a free Warhammer army builder?
Personally, I've never used an army builder to put together my armies.
Start an Excel spreadsheet and insert each unit or characters options on a different line, then use the 'sum' function to add everything together.
You can also make a 'total' by making a sum of all the unit subtotals.Where can I find a free Warhammer army builder?
you can get a trial of Wolf Lair's army builder but you are limited to 3 units

Is it possible to create a warhammer online account without entering credit card information or a game card?

Sort of. However, it is not allowed and you will be banned if caught.
Those gold selling spam advertisements you see in game are likely from hacked or "key-generated" accounts. It is highly unlikely the gold selling companies would be willing to shell out the cost of the game each time they want to advertise for a few minutes before they are banned.
But for all intensive purposes, the answer to your question is no (as long as you are legit). Is it possible to create a warhammer online account without entering credit card information or a game card?
No there is no way without a gamecard or credit card.

How do you remove paint from warhammer plastic models?
I all ready ask this but it really didnt help
What can i buy from a local store something to remove the paint of the plastic warhammer models
also metal ones if you know
i whant something i can buy somewhere like wall mart or targetHow do you remove paint from warhammer plastic models?
hello matey, ok, ive dones this many times, get a nail polish remover that is acetone free,if it has acetone in it, it will make them melt. Acetone free nail polish remover is used on fake plastic nails to take the varnish off so it can be reapplied. Always test on an old base first.
I found pouring enough nail polish remover into a jam jar to cover the miniture, leave it in there until it looks like the figure has gained weight(5 min ish), when really its just the paint loosening. take out, wash in water and use a toothbrush to scrub the paint off,you may have to scrub a fair bit. wear rubber gloves nail polish remover stinks.
ive tried brake fluid, detol, allsorts, but this is the best. ive even bought miniture s on ebay, stripped them, re undercoated in black, and then resold on ebay for like 3 times the price i bought for.
also to do lead minitures use nitromoors or another brand of paint stripper used on cars or wall paint. that works a treat but will melt plastic ones. nail polish remover also works on lead ones.
im from the uk, but it should cost the same as one bottle of coke, maybe two for a bottle of nail polish remover, and you can get it in most supermarkets.

Are there any table top games similar to Warhammer 40k that you don't have to paint or make the models? I enjoy playing Warhammer at my friends house but I hate the fact you have to paint them to make them look good and can't switch out the unit's weapons after you fully made them. What do I need to field and assassin in a Warhammer 40k space marine army?
I have a space marine army in the latest edition of warhammer 40k, but I haven't played properly since 2nd edition where you could just use an assassin in any imperial army. If anyone could tell me what are the requirements to field an assassin now, I would be very gratefulWhat do I need to field and assassin in a Warhammer 40k space marine army?
You need an Inquisitor in your army, To be able to pick one of the assassins. What do I need to field and assassin in a Warhammer 40k space marine army?
you still can take an assassin. Rules for the assassins are in the daemonhunter (and witchhunter iirc) codex, as well as rules for taking units from the codex as allies in space marine or imperial guard lists

How to Choose a Warhammer 40k Board Game Army?
I would like to start playing Warhammer 40k but I'm not sure what army to choose.
Are there any websites with guides on how to choose or F%26amp;Qs about the strengths, weaknesses, styles of each army.
Please don't just say army names as that is pointless.
Thank you!How to Choose a Warhammer 40k Board Game Army?
There's no end of website that will give you opinions and suggestions on what army is right for you. If you're getting into 40k, why not join one of the online communities at http://www.warseer.com or http://www.dakkadakka.com (or any of the other, excellent similar sites)? You'll often find that there are dedicated message boards for each army (such as at http://www.librariumonline.com) and you can browse army lists, background and tacticas at your leisure.
My advice, for what it's worth, is that you should choose your first army with great care but thinking far more with your heart than with your head. The reason that so many people buy Space Marines as their first army isn't (only) because Games Workshop push the range so hard, but because the iconic imagery of the models reaches out and pushes buttons deep in the part of our psyches forever marked "little boy". I've been playing marines for over twenty years now and, although I've dabbled with other armies, none has ever come close for consistently grabbing and keeping my attention.
Now, I'm not saying that you should do marines. But collecting, building, painting and learning to play with an army is a huge investment of time and effort (not to mention money), so if you pick an army on any criteria other than the fact that the whole concept of the army makes you go "ZOMG!1! Its teh coolest!!!1!" and turns you in one fell swoop from rational human being to drooling fanboi then you've probably picked the wrong army. How to Choose a Warhammer 40k Board Game Army?
try using the games workshop online and that should tell you about each faction. if that doesnt work try going to your local modelling shop or wherever you can buy them and ask someone or just check out the guides. thats what i did and ni chose the space marines, as they're good to use for anyone who is new to the game. How to Choose a Warhammer 40k Board Game Army?

Do you need to be a specific age to buy spray paint from a warhammer store?
Hey guys, im just wondering if you have to be a specific age to buy spray paint from a warhammer shop, as i recently got some more figures. But havent used the paint before (to my dismay), so i've decided to undercoat my new figures.
Thanks guysDo you need to be a specific age to buy spray paint from a warhammer store?
In the UK you must be 16 or over to buy spray paint in any form, including the spray gun and compressed air cannisters.
You may be interested to know that you can save a considerable sum buying online at shops like http://maelstromgames.com, who offer free postage as well as a discount on GW prices, although you will wait a week or more for delivery, sometimes. You still need to be over 16, of course, so if that's a problem you will need to ask your parents to place the order on your behalf.
When using spray primer, black is best for beginners as it hides a multitude of sins. Spray in a well-ventilated area or, better still, outdoors. Use a large cardboard box as a spray booth and place your miniatures inside it, on their backs, on a piece of paper or card. You can then turn the card around as you spray your miniature from every angle.
Once it has dried - this takes about 15 minutes to be touch-dry - you can then turn the miniatures over and repeat for a smooth, all-over undercoat that's ready to take paint in 30 minutes.Do you need to be a specific age to buy spray paint from a warhammer store?
Depends on where you live - different places may have different laws about it.
May also want to try getting sprays from other places like home supply stores - works just as well as the GW ones but can be a lot cheaper.Do you need to be a specific age to buy spray paint from a warhammer store?
I think you have to be over 16 to buy spray paints. btw, save money by buying car primers; Hycote is pretty good stuff and cost about 拢2.50.
well, from experience i've had, no.
you could always say your mum/dad has sent you round to get it, works all the time :D

Whould you buy a set of coustom painted Warhammer pieces?
I Was thinking about trying to sell a set of warhammer or 40k pieces that are custom painted. I would assemble them, prime them, and then sell them on ebay and then paint them before sending them with a scheme chosen by the buyer.Whould you buy a set of coustom painted Warhammer pieces?
I selll painted pieces routinely on eBay, but I make barely 拢1/hour for my efforts. I really only do it (a) to fund my hobby for my own entertainment and (b) to advertise my commission services, which is where the money is.
I should add that, to make money on commissions, you really have to be near the top of the game. I routinely make the Golden Demon finals, although I confess I've never placed, and I'm very much in the bargain-bucket of commission artists. My most recent work was a single miniature conversion/paintjob that set my client back 拢300, plus parts. That took me the best part of 50 hours' work, so I still only made about 拢6/hour (or a little more than minimum wage).
Try posting a sign at local hobby shop (they should let you) and let people know what you're about. I used to buy armies, paint them, play them at shops/tournements until I got bored and would sell the whole lot. Many hobby shops will let you sell miniatures on a consignment basis. In other words, they get a cut of the price (if it sells) to display them in the store.
Don't do Ebay. There are many listings for "pro-painted" miniatures on ebay, and I don't know who considered many of these people "pros" but the paint job usually sucks.Whould you buy a set of coustom painted Warhammer pieces?
I tried this one time and its not worth it. To do a paint job worthy of calling professional, you have to invest way too much time to be profitable. I had more fun when I found people who played but didnt like to paint, and painted single pieces for them, I usually charged double what the model sold for to begin with. They wound up having me paint their whole armies, a little at a time, and I made way more $ that way. Their friends see them this way as well, and then you get more customers!
I think the problem is that there are a lot of people already doing that. However they tend to want to specify how they are built and painted. Unless you are close to master class any paint job you put on something only decreases its valueWhould you buy a set of coustom painted Warhammer pieces?
Nope, but someone might be into that stuff.
I selll painted pieces routinely on eBay, but I make barely 拢1/hour for my efforts. I really only do it (a) to fund my hobby for my own entertainment and (b) to advertise my commission services, which is where the money is.

How to unlock races when playing LAN in Warhammer Soulstorm?
I had install Warhammer Soulstorm. But when i play LAN, i can only select 2 races. How can i unlock other races? Please tell me the details. How to unlock races when playing LAN in Warhammer Soulstorm?
Did you purchase the other games and expansions?
From a post on gamefaqs.com:
Soulstorm is a stand alone expansion, meaning that you can play it without any of the previous games. However if you want to use a race besides Dark Eldar or Sisters of Battle, you'll need the other games.
Dawn Of War adds Space Marines, Eldar, Orks, and Chaos. Winter Assault adds the Imperial Guard. Dark Crusade rounds it off by adding the Necrons and the Tau.

Can I use regular super glue on warhammer 40k minatures?
I just bought imperial guard shock troops. There my first warhammer 40k items I've ever bought. Can I use regular super glue to put them together. Can I use regular super glue on warhammer 40k minatures?
Yes and I would recommend superglue because if you make a mistake you can easily disassemble your miniature again. I normally use polystyrene cement on plastic miniatures because it makes the strongest bond but it *melts* the parts together.
Before you start find some cheap acetone-based nail varnish remover (not the acetone-free stuff), if you get superglue on your fingers (which you will!) it will remove it.
Oh and take the time to remove the mold lines, mold lines will make even the nicest model look like a toy so it's important to diligently scrape them all off.Can I use regular super glue on warhammer 40k minatures?

What is a good recipe for a warhammer tyranid army?
Ok, im new to warhammer, i started playing w friends and my boyfriend, who has space marines. Which continually destroy my poor tyranids. We are just starting out and have small, basic armies, but his terminators just kill me. Any suggestions for an army makeup? How many termagaunts and hormagaunts? Harpies or gargoyles? Should i add genestealers and more weaker one wound warriors, or make up my army with larger, stronger pieces? Any help would be greatly appreciated0.oWhat is a good recipe for a warhammer tyranid army?
